About the Owner: Chris Van Cott
Owner Chris VanCott grew up in the village of Wellington Ontario. He is a graduate of the Landscape Technician Program at Humber College in Toronto, and has achieved an Associate Diploma in Agriculture with Horticulture Major from Guelph University in Guelph, Ontario Chris been involved in the landscape industry since childhood, spending summers in Prince Edward County working with his grand father, who after retirement, operated a small lawn maintenance company. From a very young age, Chris worked each summer, taking on more clients and new responsibilities, and learning valuable and practical landscape skills. It provided steady employment for him, from public school to college, to university, and paid for his schooling.
With years of experience under his belt, he took over the business from his grandfather. As the demand for landscape construction and installations increased, Chris decided to sell off the maintenance side to an interested employee, and to focus his energies on the construction side of the industry.
Schoonhoven Landscape Design has been registered in Ontario since 1994.
